Bar Lines (SSBB001)

Well... here it is! The Swingshift Big Bands first CD. The band has been in existence for over 5 years now and we felt that it was about time we committed ourselves to record. So early one October morning, (02/10/05) the 17 coffee-fuelled musicians that are the Swingshift Big Band piled into the recording studio. You'll be pleased to know that despite the long and strenuous process involved, most of the band are still talking to each other - and me! Without doubt the highlight of our time in the studio was being able to lock Jez in a sound-proof booth! - but that's another story...

I have always dreamt of leading my own big band and this has been realised in tremendous form. To work with such a wonderful group of musicians in the studio has been the icing on the cake and my thanks go to them for making this recording what it is. I'd also like to say it's been a joy working with Roy! My heartfelt thanks go to those special people who have made this project happen - if you are special you know who you are and I thank you. We hope you enjoy the experience that is our first CD and thank you for your support - where would we be without our audience?
